The Pushkar festival (AKA Camel festival)  is celebrated on the Kartik Purnima full moon ,which is calculated according to the Hindu calendar.  The Gregorian dates for the festival are from 9th November till 17th November.Though the fair continues for 8 days,the best time is to join the fair is in the mid of it ,around 12th - 15th when all the tribes have reached and are at their best.

2nd July 2011 the day when LGBT community come together to roar and appeal the Delhi government to see and learn from western world, New York legalized Same sex marriages and now it was Delhi's turn to do it. The crowd gathered at Jantar Mantar (Delhi Attraction) hoping that India ushers in the new law soon. Over 400 supporters were seen at Jantar Mantar and many registered online and supported the community. Saturday evening was lit up by stage shows, poetry, music, & jubilant dancing.  It all went peaceful and we all hope the community will soon enjoy the new BILL.
